I grew up eating See's Candies. This was one of those only at Christmas treats. It is just not Christmas in our house without a box of See's Candies. See’s is from California. Growing up in the San Francisco Bay Area, everyone knows See’s Candies. I have had the candies shipped to every place the Navy has stationed us; and have gotten several of my friends addicted to this wonderful candy. Yes, it is that good!
Every Christmas Eve night, my mother and I would sit in the formal living room, playing Yahtzee and eat See's Candies for hours. My own daughter and I carried on that tradition, until a few years ago. Since my son and husband are not big on Yahtzee, we now play Monopoly on the Wii and eat See’s. Although I miss playing Yahtzee, playing a game the entire family enjoys is worth it.
The recipe below actually came from See’s Candies website. The recipe posted as part of a contest they are running for the holidays; I thought you might enjoy it. If you would like to order See’s Candies you can visit their website at www.sees.com
